Joyce Moy (Executive Director, AAARI at CUNY)

Dr. Joyce Moy talks about why she believes that so many small businesses started by immigrants such as Asian Americans are successful. According to Moy, the main reason is grit and hard work and a desire to help their children have a better life. She tells the story of her own family’s start in the US, and the laundry business they started and operated with very little capital, no heavy equipment or even a washing machine.
