She shares that in the past 1.5 years, there has been a staggering increase in the percentage of directors in companies, of which 40% are women, and the other 40% are racially diverse candidates. It gave her the inkling to cover this topic as a part of her book as she wanted to highlight the importance of placing talent over a person’s race.
