According to Wilk, “We don’t know where we are going, we only know where we have been,” and it is essential for business leaders to be able to listen carefully without judgment before formulating a response to a problem. Wilk points out that many leaders in the C-Suite have been promoted for their ability to say no, so that the idea of saying yes can be a struggle.
