CLO Insight Summit 2017 (Amy Powell – VP Global Leadership and Career Development, ADP)

CLO Insight Summit 2017 – Vanessa Tyler interviews Amy Powell, VP Global Leadership, and Career Development at ADP

Amy Powell talks about learning options and programs that are being used at ADP. She provides her thoughts on how there are so many learning options available in the corporate learning arena that it is an embarrassment of riches.

According to Powell, having so many learning options can be a barrier to learning because it is difficult to know what it is important to learn and what will help the employee with future work needs. Powell explains that learning options need to be just what employees need when they need it and in the form, that works for them. She also explains how learning can mean many things including job shadowing or reverse mentoring or peer to peer learning.

The interview also includes a discussion of how at ADP, they are trying to make learning omnipresent where employees can get learning recommendations proactively for their current job and what they need in the future.

For Amy Powell, the best learning is like oxygen.
