Joe Bruhin shares his views on how CIOs can make sure that they are part of the C-suite team and take part in strategic business decisions. According to Bruhin, “Sometimes you just have to sit at the table without an invite.” He points out that in this day and age no company can grow without the proper use of technology. Bruhin provides some strategies that he has used to make sure that business leaders understand the importance of IT including the development of a business process architecture with an information overlay indicating how technology can help with everyday processes. He discusses the need to be proactive so that leaders see IT as a strategic partner.

Most recently, he was the Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President of Constellation Brands Inc. where he directed all aspects of the organization’s information technology activity supporting the organization's strategic goals. He is co-founder of the SIM Western New York chapter, where he currently serves as both Vice President & Programs Co-Chair.
