Josh Davis  (Author & Ph.D. Ivy League Professor)

Josh Davis explains the research he has conducted into how the brain handles decision-making processes. According to Davis, much of the time our brains are on autopilot and relying on learned behavior and expertise – going from task to task with very little decision making taking place. He contrasts this to the times during the day when we need to make conscious decisions about tasks or behavior that he refers to as mental crossroads. Davis discusses how at these times the brain draws on different resources and knowing this can allow individuals to capture these decision points to make conscious decisions about what is important.
