Glenda Eoyang  (Author & Founding Director, HSD Institute)

Glenda Eoyang describes the philosophy around the use of human systems dynamics and adaptive action. This includes the belief that all human interactions sit on a continuum of both finite or predictable elements and those that are unknown or infinite. She discusses in the human systems dynamics approach both finite and infinite elements are depicted as games, some you can win and some where the purpose is just to keep on playing. She provides an example of how this game approach can be utilized with a problem such as employee engagement where depending on what strategy you use you can win a game or make a real difference in how employees feel about their work.
