Why did you decide to write a book about Sharepoint?

Ira Fuchs is pleased to announce the publication of his new Book, “SharePoint Cheap Thrills”. This book is for anyone who wants to do really useful things with SharePoint, quickly and easily. Each of the book’s chapters describes how to create a valuable, real-world productivity solution in just hours. The solutions focus on highly identifiable and common real-world needs in every organization. Ira is also the author of “Enterprise Application Development in SharePoint 2010 — Creating an End-to-End Application without Code”, considered to be one of the best books for people invested in being SharePoint developers.

Presently Ira is a SharePoint Technical Specialist at Microsoft working in the New York Metropolitan District. In this role he has assisted numerous companies deploy and exploit the full set of features and capabilities of the SharePoint platform. He also presents frequently at SharePoint conferences and conducts training workshops. In addition he has written numerous white papers for Microsoft on BizTalk Server, Customer Care Framework and InfoPath.

In this video, Fuchs talks about why he decided to write two books on SharePoint. He talks about how non-programmers can build useful mini applications using SharePoint which he thought was important to share through his books.
