Jeanne Meister goes over some of the characteristics of an agile leader including being able to drive results, being forward focused, and innovative. She provides an example of a technique that agile leaders are implementing in forward thinking organizations called hackathons where individuals or teams focus on coming up with solutions to problems or creating new products and services. Hackathons are traditionally used in the IT area for the development of software, but Jeanne discusses how strategies like this are now being used across organizations to drive creativity and innovative solutions.
