Derek Lidow discusses the reasons why people become entrepreneurs. He talks about how research shows that 80% of entrepreneurs made the decision to start their own business by choice while 20% became entrepreneurs because of need. Lidow provides his own theory that the majority of individuals become entrepreneurs to fulfill an internal need. He provides an example from his book of an individual whose perseverance and drive helped him create a new niche to reach business success.
